This is actually Putin mocking US... Everyone knows he's trying to
influence the elections (and succeeding).
It's his payback for Obama saying in the past that Russia is no longer
important in world affairs.

So Putin is not some evil man scheming plans to conquer the world,
he's merely vengeful and takes revenge after you do him
harm?

If I didn't know you I'd say your opinion on him has somewhat
improved.
